A community of friends and families — educated, ambitious, and hopeful — who came to Sweden with open hearts, only to be met with closed doors. Despite our skills and experience, the message was clear, if unspoken: we did not belong.
We encountered segregation, isolation, and a shortage of opportunity. We knocked — but no one answered.
